Chevron Wallpaper
A chevron is a run of V shapes laid point to point, a zigzag with a sharp, graphic rhythm. It brings movement to a wall, and the effect depends almost entirely on scale and contrast: a close tonal chevron reads as a woven texture, while a bold two colour repeat makes a confident feature wall.
Harlequin's Adderstone, from the Harlequin x Henry Holland range, translates the natural chevron formed in glass blowing into a striking wallcovering, and their Momentum 4 collection offers more in the same spirit. Galerie's Utopia has a wood-effect textured chevron with a defined zigzag, and Romo's Picota adds a feathery chevron with subtle metallic highlights.
At the finer end, York Wallcoverings draw narrow metallic zigzags in Modern Metals and Dazzling Dimensions, patterns that read almost as texture. Thibaut's Paramount includes Oslo Chevron, a close navy zigzag, and Ohpopsi's So Stripey uses tone to make chevron stripes into a gentle optical illusion.
Chevron's quieter cousin is herringbone wallpaper, where the rows are offset rather than meeting in a point. For other graphic repeats see geometric wallpaper and Art Deco wallpaper, or the flat bands of modern striped wallpaper.
