Feather Wallpaper
Feather wallpaper brings a light, graceful movement to a wall. It ranges from softly drifting plumes and finely drawn quills to glamorous peacock eyes caught in metallic ink, and it is especially lovely in a bedroom or a dressing room, where a little glamour is welcome.
Harlequin have some of the most elegant designs. Operetta, from Colour 2, floats an ostrich feather over a metallic textured background, and Limosa in Colour is a finely drawn feather motif. Sanderson's Lismore, from Elysian, spaces partridge feathers across a beautiful chalky background.
For pattern with a classic edge, Galerie's Feathered Damask in Simply Silks 4 is an all-over damask with a subtle sheen. A S Creation's Mata Hari - Living Walls adds metallic detailing to its feather motif, and Zinc Textile's Escape includes Gstaad, an explosion of feathers recalling murmurations of starlings in seductive metallic tones.
Feathers sit naturally beside bird wallpaper, and the shimmering designs pair well with our metallic and foil wallpaper and damask wallpaper. A softly drifting plume also works well on a single wall behind a bed, where it adds interest without crowding the room. For more ideas, read A Touch of Plumage: Feather Wallpaper.
