Lewis & Wood Wallpaper

Lewis & Wood Wallpaper

Lewis & Wood has built its reputation on bold, large-scale wallpaper that treats a wall like a canvas. Founded in 1993 and printed in-house at Woodchester Mill in Gloucestershire, the brand is known for dramatic florals, sweeping scenic panoramas and confident geometrics designed to be a room's centrepiece rather than a backdrop.

Our Lewis & Wood wallpaper collection brings these statement designs together, from painterly botanicals and toiles to graphic checks and stripes, in colourways that suit both period homes and contemporary interiors. Because the patterns are drawn at scale, a single drop often carries a whole scheme, which makes them a popular choice for feature walls, hallways and dining rooms.

Every design comes at reduced prices with fast UK delivery, and samples are available so you can see the pattern and colour in your own light before committing.

Prefer a softer, layered look? Many designs are also available as fabric. Explore the matching Lewis & Wood fabric collection to coordinate curtains, blinds and upholstery with your walls.

Good to know

How many rolls do I need?

Use the wallpaper calculator, or "How many rolls do I need?" on any product page, which allows for the pattern repeat. Order all your rolls together so they come from the same batch.

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Most papers have a sample, usually A4, and up to 6 samples are delivered free. A sample is the best way to check colour and texture in your own room.

Why does the batch number matter?

Rolls from different production batches can vary slightly in shade. Rolls ordered together always come from one batch; if you're topping up an earlier order, add its batch number on the product page and we'll match it.

Can I return wallpaper?

Most unused rolls can be returned: tell us within 14 days of delivery and send them back within 30. Some brands charge a 25% restocking fee on returns made after 14 days. Papers that are printed or made to order, and murals, can't be returned. Each product page tells you which applies.

How long will delivery take?

Every product page shows its own delivery time and an estimated arrival date. Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over £100; Northern Ireland, the Highlands and islands are charged at checkout.

Do you offer trade accounts?

Yes, for interior designers, decorators and commercial projects. Find out about trade accounts.

Lewis & Wood Wallpaper

Lewis & Wood was founded in 1993 by the textile printer Stephen Lewis and the decorator Joanna Wood, and is steered today by creative director Magdalen Jebb. Every design is conceived and printed in-house at Woodchester Mill in Gloucestershire, and the house is best known for its wide-width wallpaper, printed in a single generous run so that a large design can sweep across a wall without an interrupting seam. Almost nothing is invented from nothing: the studio draws on embroideries, archive documents, folk art and museum collections, including the V&A.

The newest arrival is The Srinagar Map, taken from one of the most remarkable objects in the V&A, a goat's wool shawl embroidered for Queen Victoria in around 1870 that charts the streets, houses, mosques and waterways of Srinagar in minute detail. Boho is inspired by embroideries from India, Mexico and Central Asia, and follows on from Travel Trunk, a group of global prints drawn from five different cultures, from African wax print to the pattern-making of the Americas.

Patchwork turns vintage quilt blocks and appliqué folk motifs into four designs, Baltimore, Farm Friends, Hawaiian and Libertyville, while History Papers draws on rock carvings, stencilled walls and Georgian damask, with archive designs sourced from the V&A and the American Museum & Gardens in Bath. For a softer touch, Sprigs & Twigs brings delicate sprigs, winding twigs and small florals in Chamba, Rosetta, Stellata and Wild Rice.

Entente Cordiale is the wallpaper companion to the house's fabric collection of the same name, carrying three French laundry prints, Fleurie, Nantessa and Toile Baptiste, in fresh, delicate colour. Mediterranea sets traditional designs in a muted palette of eau de nil, plaster, sand and pumice, with the weathered quality of old frescoes, and Sporting & Character is a quintessentially British set of fishing, hunting and outdoor sporting scenes.
