Earlier this month, we were surprised and thrilled to receive an email from the team at AS Creation. A quiet but exciting message arrived in our inbox: an invitation to Germany to preview a brand-new collaboration between AS Creation and CosmoLiving. Not only would we be attending the official launch event in Cologne, but we’d also get a rare glimpse behind the scenes at the AS Creation factory.
We’ve worked with AS Creation for years, and we’ve always admired the quality of their designs. But getting the chance to see how that quality comes to life? We couldn’t say yes fast enough.
A Rare Look Behind the Scenes

We arrived early at the AS Creation site, joining a small group of invited retailers for a factory tour before the main event. Although the atmosphere was fairly quiet at first, there was a shared sense of curiosity. We were all there to witness something special.
Inside the factory, the first thing we noticed was the heat. With so many machines in operation, there was a dry warmth in the air — a reminder of just how physical wallpaper production really is. Despite the industrial buzz and clatter, the space was spotless and orderly. Everything had its place.
The AS team guided us through each stage of the process — from printing and drying to cutting and inspection — explaining the steps along the way. The machinery itself was state-of-the-art, humming with rhythm and precision. We watched as layers of colour and texture were laid down on enormous reels of paper. It was beautifully choreographed, and seeing it up close gave us a new appreciation for the craftsmanship involved.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. As a family-run business that’s been helping people find wallpaper for over 25 years, we know what it means to pour love and pride into a product. Seeing that same energy reflected back from the AS Creation team felt reassuring and familiar.
Launch Day in Cologne
Later that evening, we joined the AS Creation and CosmoLiving teams at a stylish launch venue in the heart of Cologne. The energy shifted immediately — warm lights, glasses clinking, and excited conversation filling the space.
The new wallpaper collection itself was still hidden, tucked behind a curtain. A bit of theatre we didn’t know we needed. As the music faded, the curtain was pulled back to reveal beautifully styled room sets — bold, soft, graphic, romantic. Each one offered a different take on modern design, but all felt unmistakably CosmoLiving.

We wandered from room to room, taking in the tactile surfaces, the layered colours, and the balance of confidence and comfort in each design. Drinks and finger food flowed as we mingled with other retailers and the teams behind the launch. Conversation opened up. The sense of community, even among new faces, was refreshing.

Why It All Matters
Travelling to Cologne gave us something we can’t get from a sample book or a product sheet. It gave us perspective.
We saw the hands and the minds behind every wallpaper roll we stock. We stood in the heat of the machinery and witnessed the care taken at every stage. We met the creators, the marketers, and the fellow retailers who all believe in what wallpaper can do — how it can tell a story, transform a space, and say something about who you are.
