Archive II Prints
Following his remarkable success in wallpaper design, William Morris shifted his focus to fabric creation, utilizing the intricate hand-block printing technique. Originally produced at the Bannister Hall printing mill, Morris later established his own print works at Merton Abbey to continue his craft. The Archive II Prints Fabric collection by Morris & Co. preserves the timeless essence of the original block printing process. This collection features iconic designs from Morris & Co., with some original colourways retained, while introducing new patterns inspired by Morris’ woven tapestries and embroideries. Expertly painted in a traditional Morris palette, these designs are reimagined by the current Morris & Co. design team.
