Barillet

The Barillet wallpaper from Casamance’s Faubourg des Lumières collection is inspired by the master glazier Louis Barillet, who pioneered a new artistic language with stained glass. Renowned for his work on the Molitor swimming baths and the hotels on rue Mallet-Stevens, Barillet introduced geometric patterns that bridged Art Deco and Modernist Architecture. He used striated and diamond-shaped glass, incorporating coloured glass opals to create vibrant, contrasting designs. The Barillet wallpaper reflects this artistic approach, combining geometric shapes with soft lines and textured surfaces.
