Carlisle Fauna

Taking inspiration from the original design Fragment, found in the English Heritage archives which featured a single tonal colour block print in a panelled form, edged with vertical stripes. Designers Guild have reimagined this original print to create Carlisle Fauna, an all over floral print in multi tones to suit the contemporary home and create a more versatile option for the interior. Taking its name from the mansion built in the 1680's, occupied by the Countess of Carlisle, no.17 Carlisle Street still exists today and retains many of the original interior features. Carlisle Fauna has been block printed to achieve the original feel of the archive design, printed as a non-woven, paste the wall wallpaper for ease during hanging and superior quality.
